Have to brag about my Canon Rebel camera - it's the best!

Beautiful up close shot of my Camellia with my Canon Rebel EOS XT!

I have to brag about my Canon Rebel EOS (XT) camera.  It's simply the easiest camera to use and takes amazing photographs.  I realize that my camera is a bit out dated, but the good news is that the new ones are even better.  Take the  Canon Rebel EOS T3i,  these can range from $500 to about $749, it's definitely the most affordable of the cameras.  This one comes with a 55 mm IS II kit and will be what I will probably upgrade to very soon.  Cost of this particular camera is about $749 and currently they are featuring a $50.00 savings discount, but they can be as high as $2,400.

If you are looking for a new camera - of course you need to do your homework, but all in all I give the Canon Rebel a thumbs up *****5 stars overall.  If you are not a professional photographer like me, this camera is not complicated even I can figure out some of the settings.  For closer shots, I have the Canon EF 70 - 200 mm zoom lens which I love - it takes really great shots from long distance.  I have to admit I hate fussing over things like lighting, speed, etc.  So for me this camera is perfect with the auto settings and is just what I need.  It does what I need it to do when I need it. But, if you are a pro, well you probably wouldn't be reading my blog.....just joking.  You know what you are looking for and I hope that the stats on this camera will help you decide if it is the right one for you. Cheers!

Know any cross stitch or needlepoint enthusiast....they need to know this!

Hello everyone, today I decided to just talk about a very cool tool that my husband actually made for me a few years ago, it's a Godsend.  I love to cross stitch and I did it for so many years that my left hand began to really hurt.  It was from holding the hoop for hours on end.  Well, he is so smart and creative that he literally went out into the garage and got his tools ready and made me this very handi-stitch holder.  That is what we named it "handi-stitch-holder" and it's fabulous. Everyone should have one because it saves time, and energy and makes stitching so much more fun and enjoyable.  I just had to share this with the world today, so if you are a cross stitcher, needlepoint or quilter,  or know of someone who may be able to benefit from this very handi tool, please let them know.

It's presently available on Ebay and my Etsy shop.  Just click on either one and check it out.  Until next time - have a wonderful safe summer.

Have you heard of Virta Pay?

Hello everyone, today I would like to ask you a question and see if you know who Virta Pay is?  Please leave me any comments if you have had any dealing with this website, which is an online currency exchange.  It is presently in the "beta testing" stage.  I've been signing in every day for about a year now and my account is very impressive to say the least, but I wonder when they will give us the ability to withdraw those funds from our account to purchase products - we shall see.

What I know of this online website is that they are getting close to doing just that, creating a debit type of card that you will be able to use as a universal currency anywhere to purchase products.  It will be like another paypal service if you will.  The way it works presently is there are numerous sellers on their website who have products to sell such as money making websites, e-books and things of this nature that you can use your Virta pay money to purchase, I've tried some and wasn't very impressed.  This was a way to test the waters, but they really need better products in my opinion. So I continue to wait out the process,  but I will certainly let you know if this pans out to be the great currency exchange they are claiming it will be.

So for now I will give it (****4) stars for the fact that it's one of the easiest ways I have seen to make money online.  Cheers and have a wonderful summer!!!

My first review on the awesome Keurig Coffee Maker

Hello friends, and welcome to my newest blog where I will share from time to time some reviews and my own opinions about certain products that I use.  I am proud to say that I absolutely love the Keurig Elite Coffee Brewer - it is absolutely wonderful. If you love espressos, lattes and cappuccino's then this product is for you.  I get to choose which coffee I want in the morning and instead of having to make a whole pot one serving at a time is perfect for me and my husband.  There are different types that you can choose from as seen below, there is one for every budget and the selection of coffees are numerous.  My favorite being the "Hazelnut and French Vanilla Cappuccino".  I have found that Walmart carries a few other selections as well and have great prices ranging from $11.98 for 18 individual servings vs. $15.00 at Safeway, so be sure to check out the deals, just about every grocery store is carrying them.

So my conclusion on this product is this:  I give this coffee brewer (*****5 stars) overall.  It is easy to use, just takes 3 easy steps to choose, brew and then enjoy your favorite coffees, teas or hot chocolate.  Easy to clean and looks great. You can also program the coffee brewer to be "ready" in the morning by setting the timer to get the water hot and ready for you have a cup. Because this does take a few minutes to get the water hot before you brew the first time in the morning. It includes a 24 hr digital clock, programmable auto on/off and brew temp control. You can also choose from 3 serving sizes, 6 oz. 8 oz. or 10 oz.

It's very stylish and looks great in any kitchen, I especially love the red color but unfortunately it will not look good in my kitchen so we went with the black.  One bit of advice, when you brew an individual hot chocolate, make sure you run straight hot water through the brewer afterwards before you brew any other coffees.

Other than that, it has saved us so much money, because now we don't throw out old pots of coffee which is money down the drain, and you actually don't drink as much either.....so enjoy - I know you will love it!
